Week 2 is complete! Highlight of the week: Visiting Cinque Terre! My roommates and I visited Vernazza, one of the five towns of Cinque Terre, and it was beautiful! The trip started with an early train ride from Rome. This was the first time being on a train from what I can remember. It was a smooth ride, close to 4 hours. The train ride was very neat, seeing more of the countryside of Italy. Once the train arrived, we grabbed our backpacks and headed to town. The town itself is very small, it has one street that leads to the water with many colorful buildings lined up along it. Of course, before doing anything else, we grabbed some gelato after seeing a shop. After grabbing some gelato, we walked down towards the water. I have seen pictures, but after seeing this place in person, it was truly the most beautiful place I have ever been. Trenton Harris - Study Abroad - Rome - Week 1

Wow, what a week! I just wrapped up my first week in Rome, Italy. It's safe to say that the experience has lived up to the expectations so far! Here is a rundown of my first week: The trip all began at XNA airport. I met up with a few of my roommates in the airport as we prepared for the long flights ahead. We had a connecting flight in Philadelphia before the final flight to FCO Rome Airport. I tried my best to get some sleep on the flights because it was an overnight flight, but I ended up unfortunately not getting much sleep. I unfortunately learned jet lag is a real thing! After the long flights, we finally landed in Rome, and it was time to explore the wonderful city! XNA PHL ----> FCO              It took me about two days to recover from my jet lag.
